In the mid-1950s, father and son Bert and Loyal Weed started Weed and Sons Septic Tank Cleaning, also known as “Weedy’s Septic Tank Cleaning”. In 1975, Loyal’s second-oldest son Rick started Weed Excavating and began installing septic systems, with his wife Susie managing the office. As the demand for septic tank cleaning increased, they bought a truck and began pumping tanks. Eventually, they got out of the excavation side of the business in order to focus exclusively on sewer and drain services.
